Position: RESIDENTIAL MOVING SALES CONSULTANT
Designated as: Fulltime; Core Hours: 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday-Friday
Department: Marketing/Sales; Corporate Office

Salary Grade: 30 - Exempt
The Paxton Companies are currently seeking to hire a Residential Moving Sales Consultant for the MD/VA/DC metro market. This position has responsibility for achieving new sales to private homeowners and corporations for residential moving services to customers relocating locally, regionally, nationally and internationally with Paxton Van Lines and Atlas Van Lines relocation services. The position/sales individual is expected to achieve specific annual revenue targets and is performance based.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Answers customer inquiries for relocation, transportation and storage services;
2. Provides on site, in-home surveys of residential customers premises using Paxton/Atlas iPad© technology and other systems;
3. Provides a thorough consultation and customer needs analysis specific to their move; 
4. Promotes Paxton and Atlas domestic and international services and programs;
5. Provides estimated costs for all services and credit terms and prepare sales contracts, and orders for services;
6. Utilizes Sales Force and LinkedIn to maintain communication with  corporate clients;
7. Collaborates with customer service and operations department/s to assist in coordination of the relocation, transportation, storage and other services;
8. Networks and becomes an active participant in various professional organizations, representing our company;
9. Attends and promotes our company at local trade shows and meeting.

QUALIFICATIONS: The ideal candidates will meet the following criteria:

• 2-3 years of sales experience in the transportation/logistics/relocation or related industry with a proven track record, preferred;
• Ability to travel a majority  of the time, within the local region, attending meetings, local and regional networking events, and performing normal territory calls;
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills;
• Ability to develop exceptional relationships with new and existing customers;
• Highly strategic with the ability to identify opportunities and problem solve;
• AA degree or an equivalent combination of education and years of experience;

Salary Grade: 224 - Non-Exempt
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Interfaces with clients on a daily basis. Responsible for developing and maintaining long term relationships to ensure the overall growth of the international division.
2. Receives orders from accounts and coordinates client information with appropriate departments.
3. Maintains client files within the procedures outlined by the international division.
4. Coordinates activities with clients.
5. Responsible for billing client files with appropriate costs placed in each file prior to forwarding to billing department.
6. Generate client/activity reports as need by clients.
7. Insure quality control and follow - up on work orders and client activity.
8. Directly manages clients’ shipments for both import and export household goods/general cargo shipments.
9. Check with account on any questionable items or service to be moved or performed.
10. Coordinate dates with clients and kept all parties apprised of any cancellation or date changes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Directly manages clients’ shipments for both import and export household goods/general cargo shipments.
2. Receives orders from accounts and coordinates client information with appropriate departments.
3. Interfaces with clients on a daily basis. Responsible for developing and maintaining long term relationships to ensure the overall growth of the international division.
4. Coordinates activities with clients.
5. Maintains client files within the procedures outlined by the international division.
6. Responsible for billing client files with appropriate costs placed in each file prior to forwarding to billing department.
7. Answer telephone and e-mail inquiries about payment status and billing information.
8. Maintain data-entry regarding air waybill spreadsheet for payment to airlines under IATA license number.
9. Generate client/activity reports as need by clients.
10. Insure quality control and follow-up on work orders and client activity.
11. Mails out marketing and other appropriate document and follows up on information.
12. Check with account on any questionable items or service to be moved or performed.
13. Coordinate dates with clients and kept all parties apprised of any cancellation or date changes.
14. Enters orders into in data base system and updates files as information is received.

Processes information involving long distance, local moving, electronic shipment and special produces, for both domestic and international business units.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:

1. Talks with customers by phone or in person;
2. Orders and maintains record of forms used in the department;
3. Sets up files for new shippers;
4. Operates computer terminal to input and retrieve data;
5. Maintains files of documents used and prepared;
6. Gives information to customers and employees;
7. Operates office machines such as adding, calculating, and duplicating machines;
8. Sorts and distributes dispatch tickets and work orders;
9. Copies data and compiles records and reports.
10. Opens and routes incoming mail, answers correspondence, and prepares outgoing mail;
11. Greets and assists visitors;
