Syrian Refugee Blankets

Thursday, 12 December 2013

The Paxton Companies partnered with The Church of Latter Day Saints, in conjunction with United Muslim Relief, American Turkish Friendship Association, Fairfax County, and Loudoun County, to collect and transport blankets for Syrian refugees in Turkey.

Both, HHG and OMD divisions combined to pick up blankets from 11 different locations ranging from government centers, Mosques, and Mormon Stakes throughout the county. Paxton helped consolidate 27,620 lbs of blankets in two 53 foot tractor trailers to Hampton, Virginia. The goods were then loaded onto 3 containers for export to Turkey.
