Last week Freddy, Carolyn and I attended the Midwest Relocation Conference in Milwaukee. Once a year the Chicago, St. Louis, and Wisconsin relocation groups come together for a two day conference featuring top notch educational sessions focused on domestic and global mobility. This year the conference was held in Milwaukee at the Hotel Intercontinental.
The venue was fabulous and the sessions were outstanding. Some of the topics included: Policy Trends; Global Talent, Diversity, Retention and Generational Strategies; RFP's & Corporate Procurement; and Building a Global Mindset Through Cultural Training & Assessments, to name a few.
There was also plenty of opportunities for people to network and get to know one another. Having served on the committee, I was able to witness first hand the amount of planning and effort that goes into putting on such a fabulous conference.
The entire Midwest Planning Committee is to be commended for doing such a fantastic job! Next year's conference will be held in 'The Windy City' which will be sure to be a big draw. I'm looking forward to it already!
