Whitman Walker AIDS Walk

Thursday, 08 September 2011

In September 2011, Paxton donated its logistical know-how to the Whitman Lacey Arrival at WWH Walker Clinic.  Paxton moved the Clinic’s new mascot from the United Kingdom to the United States free of charge and free of hassles.

Lacey, the new mascot, came home to take part in the Whitman Walker Clinic’s AIDS Walk Washington here in the Nation’s Capital.  The annual AIDS Walk Washington, is a major event that helps to raise awareness and money for the Whitman Walker Clinic.  The clinic, a nonprofit community-based health organization, provides dependable, high-quality, comprehensive, and accessible healthcare to those infected with or affected by HIV/AIDS.  This year’s event was no exception, with the help of their mascot Lacey and a little assistance from Paxton in getting it here, the Whitman Walker Clinic raised nearly $900,000 in donations.

Lacey WavingDonating our expertise in international logistics to navigate customs and our skills in packing shipments to ensure a safe and on time arrival, Paxton transported Lacey from the UK to DC.  In addition to ensuring that Lacey made its debut on time, Paxton was proud to be a Red Ribbon partner for AIDS Walk Washington.

Next time you have an important time sensitive shipment, like Lacey, think Paxton we’ll make sure it arrives on time.
