Paxton International attends IAM Conference in Vancouver

Paxton attended the 2013 International Association of Movers (IAM) Conference from October 7th -10th in stunning Vancouver, Canada. Paxton team members who attended include: Mindy Cafiero, Freddy Paxton, Bill Paxton, Ally Nordstrom-Geraghty, Tara Robinson, Morgana Somers, Heather Padilla, John Connolly, and Mariko Hein.

The IAM conference is one of only two annual trade shows designed for those like us in the international logistics and relocation industry. This year’s theme was “IAM- A Network Expanding" which underscores the Association’s efforts to expand its offerings to members, and its outreach to - and inclusion of - other organizations and associations in the global moving and relocation arena.

The conference was held at the Vancouver Convention Center, and there were more than 2000 total attendees from over 2000 companies spanning across 170 countries. The Paxton Team met with 113 worldwide agent partners in individual private sessions and had the opportunity to sit in on numerous seminars. Some of which included the Ladies in Moving (LIMA), the DOD Claims Panel, and the Military & Government Affairs Panel, to name a few.

One particularly notable session was the Logistics Network Organizing Meeting. The first “official” panel centered around general cargo; a specialty of Paxton International since 1997.
