Atlas Sales Development Program

Monday, 25 February 2013

"A couple of weeks ago, I had the good fortune to participate in the Atlas Sales Training Program  in Evansville, IN. While the training itself was a great learning experience, what I enjoyed even more was the opportunity to see Atlas Van Lines up close and meet the people that make Atlas so great.

Thanks to Freddy, many knew of my impending arrival and made sure to connect with me while I was there. Glen Dunkerson, Chairman and CEO of Atlas Van Lines, was one of the first to personally welcome me into the 'Atlas family'. Lucky for me, Sarah Whitaker from the Marketing Department was taking part in the training and was my partner throughout the training session. Sarah made sure I met the rest of the terrific Marketing team and the travel department who had flawlessly handled my last two business trips. Jack Griffin, President & COO of Atlas, joined us for dinner one evening and shared some great stories about being the local celebrity chef for the Gilda's Club charitable fundraiser. Jack actually took home the Golden Spatula award for his seared duck tacos! Finally, I had the good fortune to get to know a number of my peers from other agents. I enjoyed meeting each one of them and learning more about their specific markets.

While I was a little hesitant to give up a couple of days to spend training in southern Indiana, I walked away very enriched by the experience and proud to be a part of the Atlas family. And believe it or not, I actually am looking forward to my next trip to Evansville!"
