Space Shuttle over Paxton Van Lines

Monday, 16 April 2012

For those who didn't get to witness... then end of an era... pictured below is the Space Shuttle over our Springfield office.

On April 17 2012 a little piece of history flew over our Paxton Van Lines Springfield Virginia location. The Space Shuttle Discovery on its way to is final stop, The Air and Space Museum at Dulles Airport in Sterling VA.

Some of the Discovery’s accomplishments include the launch of the Hubble Space Telescope, trips to the International Space Station, and the oldest man in Space - 77 yr old John Glenn. The Shuttle has flown 39 successful missions in 27 years of service. It has logged 365 total days in space, orbited the Earth 5,830 times, and has flown 149 million miles.

It is truly special that we can add a fly over Paxton Van Lines on it's final trip.
